Can you recommend some US cities for me to discover?

I am a born and raised new orleanian looking for a possible destination to move. i can think of some cities fitting my criteria but not many. historic east coast. the only one i'm digging now is baltimore. im leaving out so many but the big ones are the only ones that stand out, NY, boston, DC, and im not into those. help me out?
