How can I become an Officer in the Navy with a low GPA from college?
I have a BA in Psychology but unfortunately wasted my college education by getting a low GPA. Now, my GPA is below the minimum criteria to be a candidate to be considered for a commissioned officer. I really would like to one day become an Officer for the Navy but I am unsure whether it would be best to enlist (most likely in the Nuclear Program) and try and become an Officer after a few years of hard work or try and get a Master's Degree and try again. Also, I am a woman and have heard some very discouraging things about favoritism towards men when it comes to officer selection from enlisted. Does anyone have any thoughts, suggestions, or recommendations?
